Healthier Mocha Peppermint Frappuccino

Hi there! Happy Friday! Well, it’s officially December, and we can now eat or drink #allthingspeppermint! I am not mad about that!

This morning, I whipped up a healthier version of Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino for breakfast.  Of course it doesn’t taste exactly like the original, but it’s pretty close. While the calories are still a little high on this, I feel better about drinking it, as I added a banana and some protein powder to help increase the nutritional value. If I was feeling a little crazy, I would have topped it with some whipped cream and chocolate shavings.  Maybe for dessert some night! 🙂

Healthier Mocha Peppermint Frappuccino

Servings: 1 – 1 1/2


3/4 cup Trader Joe’s Chocolate Peppermint (or this)

1/4 – 1/2 brewed coffee, cooled (or 1-2 tsp espresso powder)

2 scoops protein powder (chocolate would be good, but I used unflavored Tera’s Whey since that is what I had on hand)

1 large frozen banana

Handful of ice (lots, if you want it extra frosty!)


Add all ingredients to a blender, blend, and enjoy!
